Kaminario K2 Achieves VMware Ready™ Status

Kaminario, a leading provider of high performance, general purpose all solid-state (SSD) SAN storage solutions, today announced that its K2 all solid-state SAN storage solution has achieved VMware Ready™ status. This designation indicates that after a detailed validation process the K2 has achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) at https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store/products/kaminario-k2-solid-state-san.

“By using the Kaminario K2 with VMware vSphere® 5, enterprises can obtain extreme performance and leverage high availability and data protection with mission-critical applications in their virtualized environment,” said Ritu Jyoti, VP Product and Solutions Management, Kaminario. “The K2 was designed to deliver on the full potential of SSD media in both virtual and physical environments.”

“We are pleased that the Kaminario K2 qualifies for the VMware Ready™ logo, signifying to customers that it has met specific VMware integration and interoperability standards and it works effectively with VMware cloud infrastructure, which will speed time to value within customer environments,” said Sheryl Sage, director, Alliance Programs, VMware.

The VMware Ready program is a co-branding benefit of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program that makes it easy for customers to identify partner products certified to work with VMware cloud infrastructure. With thousands of members worldwide, the VMware TAP program includes best-of-breed technology partners with the shared commitment to bring the best expertise and business solution for each unique customer need.

Kaminario and the K2 can be found within the online VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) at https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store/products/kaminario-k2-solid-state-san.

About Kaminario

Founded by storage experts from EMC, NetApp and IBM, Kaminario is leading the Flash SSD revolution in SAN storage. The Kaminario K2 family of all solid-state SAN storage eliminates I/O bottlenecks and dramatically reduces latency to accelerate critical business applications at a significantly lower cost and with a smaller footprint than legacy SAN storage.
