Hawaiian Airlines Waives Change Fees for Customers Affected By Rescheduling of New York/New Jersey Mid-Winter School Breaks

HONOLULU, Dec. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hawaiian Airlines announced today that it will waive change fees for customers whose travel plans have been affected by the rescheduling of mid-winter public school breaks in New York and New Jersey because of Hurricane Sandy.

Customers ticketed by November 29 for travel on Hawaiian between New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Hawai'i during the dates of February 15–24, 2013 will be allowed to change their reservations without charge.

Changes must be made by December 31, 2012, with all travel completed within one year of the original date of a customer's ticketing.

Travel must be re-booked in the same class of service (i.e., Coach to Coach or First to First) and is based on seat availability. Normal refund and cancellation rules will apply.

Changes must be made by calling Hawaiian's Reservations Department at the toll-free number of 1-800-367-5320.

About Hawaiian Airlines

Hawaiian has led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past eight years (2004-2011) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Consumer surveys by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Zagat have all ranked Hawaiian the highest of all domestic airlines serving Hawai'i.

Now in its 84th year of continuous service, Hawaiian is Hawai'i's biggest and longest-serving airline, as well as the largest provider of passenger air service from its primary visitor markets on the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian offers nonstop service to Hawai'i from more U.S. gateway cities (11) than any other airline, along with service from Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Australia, American Samoa, and Tahiti. New nonstop service will begin between Honolulu and Auckland, New Zealand on March 13, 2013. Hawaiian also provides approximately 170 daily jet flights between the Hawaiian Islands.

Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. is a subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: HA). Additional information is available at HawaiianAirlines.com.
