Coastal Bank & Trust Selects nCino to Strengthen Focus on Small Business Lending

nCino, LLC, the leader in secure, cloud-based bank operating solutions to the financial services industry, announced Jacksonville, N.C.-based Coastal Bank & Trust has selected the technology provider’s Banking Operating System, specifically nCommerical, to improve its commercial lending process and increase productivity and profitability gains.

According to Robert L. Norris, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Coastal Bank & Trust, the bank prides itself on offering the personal touch of the past with the technology of today. In order to make that statement true, especially in today’s regulatory environment, Norris signed an agreement to implement nCommercial.

“The amount of regulation in the banking industry is impacting profit, which can then impact customer service,” said Norris. “To make sure neither scenario happens, we are focusing on equipping our bank and our employees with the most advanced, cloud-based technology.”

nCino's Bank Operating System leverages the Salesforce.com platform to seamlessly integrate with the bank’s core processsing system. nCommerical amplifies the bank’s existing loan underwriting and automates processing, improves daily activities and strengthens communication throughout the lending department and bank management.

Specifically, the solution eliminates spreadsheets and duplicate loan documents, making tracking loans easier and communication more effective throughout the lending and bank management facets.

“The access to commercial loans directly impacts the economic health of Coastal Bank & Trust’s customers – small businesses,” said Pierre Naude, chief executive officer of nCino. “By investing in technology, such as nCommercial, Rob Norris and his bank are supporting customers, the community and ensuring the health of the financial institution, while giving the bank a significant competitive advantage.”
