Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Shopatron Reports Market-Beating 59% Growth in Sales on Black Friday Weekend

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Nov. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Shopatron reported an astounding 59% increase in orders for its clients between Black Friday and Cyber Monday compared to the same days last year. But those may not be the most impressive numbers for the popular online shopping weekend. More impressive was the growth of mobile sales on Shopatron's retail-integrated order management platform, generating 161% more orders on Black Friday and Cyber Monday than in 2011 and accounting for about 15% of total client sales.

The numbers show that Shopatron clients continued to outsell the already-impressive industry average, which was quoted by comScore (through Internet Retailer) at 21% for Black Friday weekend.

"It is good to see our clients are still outperforming the online retail industry," noted Shopatron Founder and CEO Ed Stevens. "Our goal is to help our clients sell more, and we work constantly to achieve this goal. New programs like our integrated gift card offering and our online marketplace integration with eBay are examples of the ways that we can achieve this goal of market-beating sales for our brands. And, as the numbers show, our support for mobile shopping does not hurt either."

As expected, mobile devices accounted for about 20% of combined visitor traffic during the two shopping days. And at 15% of total sales, Shopatron brands' mobile revenues were in line with the mobile sales averages for the online retail industry as a whole. (According to IBM, mobile accounted for 16% of total retail sales on Black Friday and 13% Cyber Monday.) But probably most telling on the mobile front are the numbers for iPads. iPad traffic was up 314% for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and orders were up an even higher 334% due to better conversion rates.

"Tablet computers are quickly becoming the device of choice for online shopping," continued Stevens. "It is important for online sellers to understand this and address this growing segment with a superior shopping experience. At Shopatron, this is another key to our success."

In 2012, Shopatron was listed as one of the fastest growing eCommerce companies in North America by both Inc. Magazine and on the Deloitte Fast 500 list. For more information about the company, visit ecommerce.shopatron.com or call 866-625-5050.
