In marketing, advertising, and selling the original Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, Amazon claimed that it developed a new web browsing technology that was available exclusively on the Amazon Kindle Fire through a web browser called "Amazon Silk." Amazon claimed that Amazon Silk is different from other browsers because, among other things, Amazon's computer servers do much of the work assembling complex web pages downloaded by users, resulting in much faster load times for web pages, compared to traditional browsers on other mobile devices.
