TIO Networks Corp., (TSX-V: TNC) ("TIO"), North America's leading expedited bill payment company, today announced the launch of a mobile app for El Paso Electric customers. The app allows El Paso Electric’s 380,000 customers to pay bills using iPhones, iPads and Android smartphones and tablets. The program includes support for payments via credit, debit and ACH to give customers the greatest flexibility with their payment options.

The worldwide value of mobile payment transactions is set to rise 62 percent from $105.9 billion in 2011 to $171.5 billion this year, according to Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company. The El Paso Electric Mobile Bill Pay app not only meets growing customer demand for mobile pay convenience, but it also benefits customers with the added value of expediting payments for same day processing.

“El Paso Electric is always looking for ways to improve customer service,” said Kerry Lore, Vice President of Customer Care at El Paso Electric. “That’s why we’re very pleased to partner with TIO to offer our customers a payment option that is quick and convenient.”

TIO currently powers self-serve bill pay kiosks and walk-up payment locations in west Texas and southern New Mexico for El Paso Electric customers. These locations allow customers to pay bills via cash with the option of same day processing. The El Paso Electric Mobile Bill Pay app is compatible with all major prepaid, debit and credit cards.
