Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

LONDON, November 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Fujifilm announces Synapse 3D, Unfors launches improved Raysafe tech and Sony demos OLED display

Fujifilm's prestigious medical branch has announced its new Synapse 3D diagnostic system, which aims to provide healthcare professionals with a state-of-the-art diagnostic tool for a multitude of ailments.

The new system was revealed at the annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference, and aims to integrate existing Fujifilm medical solutions into one, easy-to-deploy module. Medical professionals will have simultaneous access to the already widely-used Synapse PACS and Cardiovascular software programs, whilst also introducing several new features, including an ability to use more than 25 body-specific diagnostic applications.

According to Fujifilm Vice-President Jim Morgan, the software is a result of "our goal of listening directly to customer needs and requirements". Morgan said this offers "an intuitive and logical workflow for radiologists, cardiologists and other clinicians".

Unfors Raysafe, a global supplier of radiation management and X-Ray technology, has announced the launch of its new Raysafe S1 Dose Management technology, giving clinicians greater control over the radiation dosage for their patients.

This latest innovation makes the company the only cradle-to-grave supplier of X-Ray technologies, including both the physical equipment and the software required to implement the necessary staff and patient safety measures. Raysafe S1 takes the company's already effective software to the cloud, allowing clinicians to take greater remote control of radiation dosage, whilst also making it possible to monitor a multitude of patients around the clock without the need for unnecessary visits.

Speaking after the launch, Unfors Raysafe CEO Magnus Kristoferson enthused about the company's new innovation, highlighting the fact that it is now "the only company able to provide clinics and hospitals with effective solutions" in all of the key X-Ray-related technology areas.

Sony has updated the public on its progress with the upcoming Sony OLED Display, revealing tantalising new details about the medical device.

The new OLED will bolster the company's medical diagnostic offering, providing practitioners with a much larger 20.5in screen, as well as the ability to reproduce captured images in superior high resolution quality. Sony's previous OLED offering received the prestigious "Excellence in Surgical Products 2012" award, making its new innovation a device to watch in the future. The screen is still classed as a work in progress, with Sony remaining secretive as to when it will become available.
