Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Announce City View Competition Winners
Winners of recent photography competition chosen to claim their luxury prizes

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 11/21/12 -- Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, one of Europe's leading providers of superb 4 star and 4 star deluxe accommodations, have announced the winners of their recent photography competition called 'City View', which encouraged bloggers and keen photographers to capture their favourite city through the eye of a camera lense.

And after much deliberation and discussion, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, accompanied by a panel of specialist judges, have announced the three lucky competition winners, each claiming a fantastic prize based on separate category entries.

The competition, which incorporated the use of twitter to allow entrants to submit their snaps, ran throughout the month of October before coming to a close on Halloween (31st October). The winners and their prizes are announced below:

--  Most Shared: The winner of the most shared photograph was awarded to
    James Christie, for his evocative photo of Edinburgh Castle. James won a
    Friday and Saturday night stay for two people at any Millennium &
    Copthorne Hotel in the UK, including Bed and Breakfast service. 

--  Most Dramatic: The winner of the most dramatic photograph went to Steve
    Deer for his unusual fisheye shot of a bustling New York street. Steve
    won a Friday and Saturday night for two people, staying at any
    Millennium & Copthorne Hotel in the UK, including Bed and Breakfast and
    a courtesy bottle of wine. 

--  Most Creative:  Owen G (full surname not given) won a Friday and
    Saturday night for two people, staying at any Millennium & Copthorne
    Hotel in the UK, for his snapshot of a rain-soaked London. 

As well as the three main category winners, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels also awarded two 'Honourable Mention' prizes to Marie-Eve Vallieres and Romana Sak, for their images of New York and Paris respectively. Maria won a GBP 75 gift voucher to be redeemed inside any UK Millennium & Copthorne Hotel, whereas Romana won GBP 50.

The five winning photographs are available to view on the Millennium & Copthorne Hotels blog and include the judges' comments and reasoning behind their choices.
