SINGAPORE, November 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Seasoned telecoms specialist joins Acision as regional head to lead business operations, drive growth and enrich the customer experience in APAC

Acision, the global leader in mobile messaging, today announced the appointment of Michael Frausing to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager for its Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Frausing will be responsible for managing Acision's local business operations and will play a pivotal role in cultivating customer and employee relationships, strengthening the company's regional presence and bolstering the business.

As an industry expert who has worked in telecommunications for 25 years, Michael brings a wealth of capability and knowledge to Acision having successfully driven revenue growth and strategic account acquisition with leading wireless and telecommunications service providers worldwide. Prior to joining Acision, Michael was the head of global sales at GE, where he focused on energy storage for the telecom, grid and UPS segments and helped implement strategies to grow the sales team, as well as penetrate and increase market share. Michael also worked at LGC Wireless where he grew sales from $12 million to over $100 million in less than a five year period. He also spent 15 years at Ericsson in various sales leadership positions, primarily selling a broad range of telecommunications solutions to carriers worldwide.

"Michael's leadership position comes at a crucial time for Acision as we nurture relationships with our local customers and support them as they start to deploy IP and Enterprise Messaging solutions in the region. His wealth of experience will be an asset to the team as we make important steps in shaping our business and building our expertise in messaging services," said Jorgen Nilsson, Chief Executive at Acision. "Michael's exceptional track record across many different markets including APAC means he understands the cultures and salient points in driving success and credibility, and will be instrumental in taking our business to greater heights as we push out a range of new messaging services in this market."

"I am committed to expanding Acision's Asia Pacific footprint and creating new avenues for customer growth," said Frausing. "My main focus will be to position Acision as a driver of innovation and leverage on our expertise in mobile messaging to create new opportunities in an evolving mobile ecosystem. As Asia Pac always has, and continues to be, an early adopter and driving force of new technology, I am looking forward to working with the team and our customers to introduce some of our new, innovative messaging propositions and ensure their success in this market."
