ChannelAdvisor Extends Support for Google Shopping in Europe

ChannelAdvisor, a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable retailers and manufacturers to manage global sales across multiple online channels, today announced its expanded support for Google Shopping in EMEA. ChannelAdvisor’s dynamic Google Shopping feature was launched on the heels of Google’s announcement that it will sunset Google Product Search in Europe and transition to the Google Shopping program, a purely commercial model built on Product Listing Ads.

“Having helped US brands and retailers successfully manage the transition to Google Shopping earlier this year, ChannelAdvisor is well placed to provide European counterparts with the necessary expertise to manage this important change,” said Seamus Whittingham, Managing Director EMEA for ChannelAdvisor. “This move to a fee-based model is a dramatic shift for many brands and retailers, which has both financial and strategic implications for their online business. Our experience in this area and online e-commerce as a whole will help those businesses adapt to and navigate that change successfully.”

ChannelAdvisor’s Google Shopping technology was created to overcome the challenge of managing and optimising Google’s Product Listing Ads (PLAs), the foundations of Google’s new commercial marketing program. Combining the power of ChannelAdvisor’s industry-leading feed management software with reporting and optimisation technology specific to PLAs, this offering provides retailers a unified platform to manage this important channel.

ChannelAdvisor has supported Product Listing Ads since its inception and also supports Google Shopping. In light of Google’s changes, ChannelAdvisor has developed additional capabilities and features that will set a new standard for product-driven advertising. This tried and tested feature has already been helping customers in the US manage their PLAs since September of this year, following on from Google’s changes in that region.

ChannelAdvisor will host a webinar to help European retailers understand this important transition. ChannelAdvisor’s Director of Product Management, Link Walls, will discuss the new Google model, along with key dates for European retailers and impart lessons learned from the US transition in September.

This webinar will take place on the Tuesday, 20st of November at 4:00pm GMT. To register this webinar, please visit: http://ar.gy/googlewebinar.

There will be live Q&A sessions following this webinar. Attendees may submit questions in advance by emailing them to ukmarketing@channeladvisor.com or tweeting them to twitter.com/channeladvisor.
