FirstFuel Launches App on the Panoptix® Platform by Johnson Controls

FirstFuel Software, the commercial building energy analytics company, today announced that its Remote Building Assessment (RBA) is one of the first applications available on the Panoptix® application marketplace by Johnson Controls.

Johnson Controls Panoptix solution is the first open platform in the building automation market – the application marketplace provides customers with a virtual “store” of applications that enable them to derive more insight and value from their energy data. FirstFuel’s applications, which utilize its patent-pending, zero-touch data analytics platform, provides Panoptix users with a broad range of capabilities to help lower energy costs and improve ROI, from remote audits to energy monitoring and other professional services.

“We are excited to add FirstFuel’s Remote Building Assessment as one of the initial solutions in our Panoptix application marketplace,” said Laura Farnham, Vice President, Building Technology & Services, Johnson Controls. “With FirstFuel, Panoptix users can now access advanced analytical services like remote audits and energy savings monitoring and measurement to turn their Panoptix data into actionable insights and energy savings.”

The Panoptix solution is a combination of software and services to help single building owners or managers of global enterprises improve the performance of their buildings, decrease energy use and operational costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It is driven by cloud-based apps that provide visibility into how every system, subsystem and device is functioning, and provides information to take actions to improve their performance. It works with any size building, any building management system; can be accessed by any computer, tablet or smartphone; and is supported with industry news, an online community and Johnson Controls Live Guide™ experts.

FirstFuel’s RBA platform uses whole building consumption data to produce deep, end-use level intelligence into buildings’ energy consumption. The platform includes end-use level benchmarking of building energy performance, customized operational and retrofit recommendations and ongoing monitoring and tracking of energy efficiency savings.

“Panoptix is an innovative platform with tremendous potential, and we’re thrilled to provide the first remote audit and energy analytics solution available in its application marketplace,” said FirstFuel CEO Swapnil Shah. “Building owners and managers, like utilities, are increasingly embracing big data as a way to reduce energy usage. FirstFuel’s comprehensive analytics platform will help them identify the highest potential efficiency opportunities and deliver real, measurable savings in their buildings.”

For more information, please visit the Remote Building Assessment application page on the Panoptix application marketplace, or www.firstfuel.com.
