Kaplan University Marks Third Consecutive Year as Official Education Partner for Annual Techonomy Conference

Kaplan University marks its third consecutive year as the official education partner of the annual Techonomy Conference being held November 11-13 in Tucson, Arizona. Leaders from Kaplan will be in attendance to join the discussion around emerging trends and how today’s student can plan for success in a global, digitized society.

This year, through its new KAPx interactive platform, Kaplan is streaming live all plenary sessions of the conference along with providing real-time Twitter updates of the event. Additionally, the University will conduct special interviews as part of its Visionary Voices webinar series with executives from Citi Ventures, MIT Center for Digital Business, Microsoft, EMC, Carnegie Mellon, Center for Large Scale Innovation, International Game Technology, Mashable, TIBCO, and Jive Software. These interviews will be archived and made available to students and the general public on the University’s website and social media channels.

“As a higher education leader in the continued transformation of learning going digital, Kaplan University is excited to be a part of the 2012 Techonomy Conference,” said Kaplan, Inc. Chief Information Officer Edward Hanapole. “The exchange of ideas from leaders representing the effective and innovative use of technologies to improve their operations and services as well as how technology may impact our economy and new fields of growth will help prepare our students for success in an increasingly competitive employment market.”

Hanapole will be a guest panelist at this year’s Techonomy education session, which asks the question, “Is This How the World Gets Educated?”

Founded by journalist and best-selling author David Kirkpatrick, the conference was created to gather global leaders in technology, education, economics, and business to share insight about technology’s expansion and how it is transforming the world.
