Andesa Services Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive, integrated policy administration, plan administration and support solutions for life insurance and annuity carriers and producers, is pleased to announce that John Scott has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer.

Scott brings to Andesa clients more than 20 years of IT experience, including 12 at The Hartford Financial Services Group. He most recently served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Hartford Life Private Placement and subsequently Philadelphia Financial Group, where he was accountable for the development, maintenance and support of multiple administrative platforms representing $34 billion in assets.

“John is a proven leader who will allow us to provide even better service to our roster of leading life insurance and annuity carriers and producers,” Andesa President and CEO Ron Scheese said. “Our clients will appreciate John’s unique blend of insurance, technology and business management experience. We expect him to play a key role in shaping a technology strategy that will allow us to accommodate ongoing growth while continuing to exceed our clients’ expectations.”

Scott succeeds Rick Kendall, who recently retired after a 35-year career in the technology sector, including six as Andesa’s Chief Technology Officer.

“The entire life insurance industry is in a period of change,” Scott said. “There has never been more value placed on robust, cost-effective and trustworthy solution providers. Andesa’s core strengths – SaaS-based policy administration, benefit plan administration and closed block solutions – uniquely position the company for growth. I am excited and energized to join this great company at the beginning of an exciting chapter in its 30-year history.”

A resident of West Caldwell, N.J., John holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Applied Science from Thomas Edison State College. He and his wife Peggy are active in community affairs. They have three children.
