Marias Technology, of Piqua, Ohio, announced today the signing of Northern Mutual Insurance Company to a contract for insurance technology services. Under the agreement, Marias Technology will provide Northern Mutual with system hosting and system management assistance for their policy administration system. Since 1999 Northern Mutual has used The Diamond System, the award winning policy administration system from Insuresoft, LLC, for policy administration. Marias Technology and Insuresoft entered into an agreement in 2011 in which Marias provides value-added services such as system hosting, system management, and system testing as complements to The Diamond System.

In the agreement with Marias Technology, Northern Mutual will utilize the functions and features of The Diamond System in their own office, but the system will be hosted and managed from the Marias datacenter in Covington, Ohio. Northern Mutual will use Marias resources and their insurance technology experience to establish a stable environment in which to do business with their agents and policyholders.
