I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

LiveVox CMO Leads Panel of Experts in Best Practices for Data Security and Compliance at ACA Fall 2012

LiveVox, Inc., the leading provider of cloud contact center solutions, today announced that Chief Marketing Officer John McNamara will be leading a team of experts in the Accounts Receivables Management industry at ACA International’s Fall Forum 2012. This panel will share best practices in compliance management systems and data security, among other topics.

The CFPB’s (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) recent announcement about large market participants and examination policies is reshaping compliance management and data security. Contact centers, especially those in the accounts receivables industry, are seeking solutions to mitigate risk and adjust cost structure while adapting to new market demands and restrictions.

John McNamara, Chief Marketing Officer of LiveVox and active member of the ACA and DBA, explains that “Now more than ever, this industry is facing a level of uncertainty – both from market and regulatory changes. What were once acceptable operational standards are rapidly being replaced by higher, more demanding goals. It is absolutely crucial for contact centers to understand these shifts and prepare for them. One major change to come revolves around how businesses handle data security and compliance. It behooves all industry players, large and small, to study these changes intensely and refine business practices as the compliance landscape re-clarifies.”

McNamara will lead a panel of experts in fields ranging from regulations, operations, and technology to discuss these hot-button topics at the upcoming ACA Fall Forum in Chicago.

What: Secure Your World

Who:

  • Todd Langusch, CIO, Asset Acceptance
  • David Kaminski, Esq., Partner, Carlson & Messler LLP
  • John McNamara, Chief Marketing Officer, LiveVox, Inc.

When: 2:30pm – 3:30pm EST, Thursday, November 8th

McNamara adds, “I am honored for the opportunity to join this panel. In the last year, I have had the privilege of participating in multiple discussions regarding the industry’s response to changing regulations and I have no doubt that the intensity has increased in parallel with the growing reach of the CFPB. Organizations such as the ACA and the events they hold act as a crucial medium to gather and share ideas to prepare not only individual operations but the industry as whole.”
