Badgeville Rounds Out Leadership Team with Executives from Oracle & IBM
Global gamification leader adds key software industry veterans to scale and execute on worldwide demand for The Behavior Platform

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Badgeville, the #1 gamification and behavior management platform, today announced the addition of three key hires, rounding out the company's world-class executive team. Industry veterans joining the company's executive team include Ted Farrell, VP of Development & Operations; Chandar Pattabhiram, VP of Worldwide Marketing; and Shane Anastasi, VP of Enablement.

According to Gartner, 70 percent of Global 2000 organizations will use at least one gamified application by 2014. Badgeville is well-situated to capture the majority of this market with its unparalleled momentum and market-leading platform. One of the fastest-growing SaaS businesses in Silicon Valley, Badgeville recently announced that in just two years of business, the company has surpassed 200 customers, including Deloitte, Autodesk, Computer Associates, Universal Music, NBC, Samsung, Citrix, VMware, Symantec, and EMC.

"We have consciously assembled a set of proven industry leaders that help us bring psychology and technology together to support enterprise gamification needs," said Kris Duggan, CEO, Badgeville. "Ted, Chandar, and Shane are truly accomplished individuals with deep experience in scaling SaaS companies into global enterprises, as well as supporting thousands of delighted customers with world-class services and technology."

Ted Farrell, VP of Development & Operations, comes to Badgeville from Oracle Corporation, where he served as Chief Architect & SVP for Tools & Middleware. At Oracle, he was responsible for technical and strategic direction of the company's runtime frameworks and tooling, as well as for leading the architecture for Oracle's Fusion Applications, the next-generation of on-premise and SaaS-based packaged applications built from the ground up. Prior to Oracle, Ted was a founder and CTO at several startups including WebGain, Novasoft Systems, and Tendril Software.

Chandar Pattabhiram, VP of Worldwide Marketing, was recently VP of Product and Channel Marketing for IBM Cast Iron, where he was responsible for go-to-market strategy, product marketing, brand marketing, and field marketing. With his marketing leadership, Cast Iron transformed from a startup to the #1 brand in a new category called Cloud & SaaS integration and was acquired by IBM. Prior to IBM Cast Iron, Chandar ran product marketing at Jamcracker, one of the pioneering ASP platforms. He also spent many years at Anderson Consulting where he led strategy, ecommerce, and ERP projects for F500 firms including AT&T, Texas Instruments, Exxon-Mobile, CompUSA, and many others.

Shane Anastasi, VP of Enablement, joins Badgeville to scale services implementation and enablement to support global demand. Shane has a long career in building enterprise professional services teams in companies around the world, such as IBM, SingTel Optus, Vignette Corporation, and BigMachines. He will join Steve Sims, VP of Production, from Electronic Arts, to scale the company's unique blend of behavior design services and best practices to support exponential client growth.

The new hires add to Badgeville's executive team, which contains over 150 years of experience at traditional and cloud software leaders like Oracle, IBM, PeopleSoft, Adobe, Salesforce.com, Cisco Webex, BigMachines, and IBM Cast Iron, as well as game production leaders like Electronic Arts and Zynga. Badgeville is actively recruiting for numerous positions in engineering, sales, production, product, and more. See Badgeville.com/careers for more details.
