Predixion Software Announces Free Developer Edition of its Predictive Analytics Solution

Predixion Software announced today the availability of Predixion Enterprise Insight™ Developer Edition, a free, fully functional version of Predixion’s enterprise-class collaborative predictive analytics solution that fully supports Microsoft Corp.’s latest offerings including SQL Server 2012, PowerPivot 2012 and Excel 2013. The announcement was made at PASS Summit 2012, where Predixion is demonstrating its predictive analytics solutions for the Microsoft BI platform in booth #443.

To download a free version of Predixion Enterprise Insight Developer Edition or have it delivered via a free Predixion cloud service, please visit here. Organizations don’t pay until they opt to use Predixion Insight in production environments. Predixion Enterprise Insight is available as on-premise and off-site private cloud offerings.

“We have taken the friction out of ‘try before you buy’ and are getting amazing response to this new program,” said Predixion co-founder and CEO Simon Arkell. “We have focused on aligning our predictive analytics solutions with Microsoft’s industry-leading BI platform to deliver advanced, easy-to-use predictive analytics solutions that turn business analysts into predictive analysts. We are committed to breaking down the barriers to predictive analytics by reducing the complexity and high cost typically associated with enterprise deployments,” Arkell said.

“Predixion Insight is a SaaS-based solution that is highly integrated with the Microsoft BI stack and delivers a self-service predictive analytics experience to a wider audience within the enterprise,” added Shawn Rogers, VP of Research, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing for Enterprise Management Associates. “Making available a free developer edition is consistent with Predixion’s goal of greater adoption and more pervasive use of predictive analytics by putting it into the hands of users who, while not equipped to write the mathematic algorithms that power predictive analytics, are professionals who drive their businesses with analytic insights.”

About Predixion Insight

Predixion has created Excel-based modeling solutions and a deployment framework designed to simplify the process of sharing models across an enterprise, automate predictions directly from source data to SharePoint dashboards and other portals or business applications, and squeeze complexity out of the end user experience, resulting in self-service predictive analytics.

The end-to-end collaborative features in Predixion Insight allow users to share models, datasets and results, as well as set permissions for shared items by simply sending them to other users or setting up “collections” to which multiple users subscribe. Users can then comment on items within the collection, score models with new or existing data, share the results within the collection or publish them into SharePoint or other portals for a truly collaborative experience, representing the last mile of analytics.
