Steve Kelley, Denver Radio Host, Promotes Voter Turnout While Swinging 32 Continuous Hours

CAMARILLO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/05/12 -- Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: SALM), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider, and magazine and book publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and conservative opinion content, announced today that 710 KNUS morning host Steve Kelley completed a 32 hour continuous swing marathon to highlight the urgency to vote during this "swing state" election. An estimated crowd of over 17,000 people passed the promotion that concluded just as Saturday's Mitt Romney rally began in the adjacent amphitheater.

The long-time local radio host is well known for stunts done throughout his radio career including sitting in every seat in the old and new Mile High Stadiums and pogo sticking from Boulder to Denver to raise over $3,000,000 for local charities in the Denver area. According to Guinness World Records, the previous record for "longest marathon on a swing" was 31 hours in 2008.
