Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

SCIenergy Accelerates Momentum in Q3 2012

SCIenergy, Inc., the global leader in cloud-based energy management solutions for building owners and operators, today announced deals with major new real estate customers Shorenstein, LBA Realty and LendLease, and a cumulative 150 million square feet of real estate under management by the company’s energy efficiency solutions at the end of Q3 2012. In addition, the company announced it has appointed Michael Best, a seasoned executive in energy and facilities management, as Vice President of Operations.

The growth represents a significant milestone for SCIenergy, attributed to the increased demand for the company's next-generation software solution SCIwatch, a cloud-based building efficiency software platform designed to optimize building performance by reducing energy costs, increasing equipment reliability, and enhancing visibility into the performance of key systems. SCIenergy saw increased international interest in the third quarter, generating new business beyond North America into Europe and the Asia/Pacific markets.

SCIenergy also announced the appointment of Michael Best as Vice President of Operations. With an extensive, multi-continent background in building automation, project management, and cloud-based applications engineering, Best will lead SCIenergy’s software enablement, customer support, and consultative services. Prior to joining SCIenergy, Best worked with Johnson Controls where he was Global Technology Process Director for their Panoptix group.

“Market adoption of SCIwatch is driving tremendous momentum for our business. Our customers are embracing the product in a big way, incentivized by the immediate increase in energy efficiency after implementing our products,” said SCIenergy CEO Steve Gossett, Jr. “In addition, we are thrilled to have Michael Best join our team to lead our operations and expert services team. Having a veteran operating executive of Michael’s caliber will be invaluable to SCIenergy as we move into our next phase of growth.”

“SCIenergy is a trailblazer in the energy efficiency software market, leading the way through big data analytics and business intelligence,” said Best. “I am excited about the opportunity in software-defined building automation, and thrilled to be joining the leading company in the marketplace.”
