INDIANAPOLIS, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association for Software Testing (AST) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving software quality by advancing the understanding and practice of software testing. In this age of ubiquitous computing, effective software testing is essential in producing systems that are reliable and trustworthy, and that protect the health, safety, and security of their users. AST serves a community of scholars, students, and software development practitioners by providing forums for discussion of all aspects of software testing through conferences, publications, web sites, and other services. AST will hold it's first annual conference on software quality and testing on June 5-7, 2006 in Indianapolis, IN. The conference features keynote addresses by Cem Kaner and James Bach, two thought leaders and prominent authors in software testing. Presentations for the conference include contributions from both industry and academia covering a wide range of topics from testing financial service software to security testing to creating effective training courses for software testers.
