2/06 - Sybase announced that it was awarded two MobileTrax 2006 Mobility Awards. This is the second consecutive year that Sybase has won in the "Software" and "Mergers and Acquisition" categories. The AvantGo mobile Internet service was selected as the winner for its new, direct way of providing automated delivery of content to wireless devices, while Sybase's acquisition of Extended Systems was chosen as one of the best mergers and acquisitions in 2005, making the company a significant player in wireless e-mail.

02/27/2006 - iAnywhere, a subsidiary of Sybase, unveiled RFID University, a series of free technical webcasts targeted at RFID developers. The goal of the program is to educate developers on various aspects of RFID development to enable them to jumpstart their RFID projects. The webcast series is offered as part of the Sybase iAnywhere RFID Developer Community (http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/rfid) in which hundreds of RFID developers have enrolled to benefit from free development software, RFID whitepapers, tech tips, discussion forums, and sample applications. 02/21/2006 - Sybase was honored with four awards at the China IT Users Annual Conference presented by CCID Consulting and China Computer Users magazine. Financial Results
1/26 - Sybase reported financial results for the 2005 fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2005. For the year, total revenues increased 4% to $818.7 million from $788.5 million for 2004. Total license revenue for the year increased 6% to $291.7 million from $275.9 million in 2004. Total revenues for the fourth quarter increased to $223.0 million compared with $218.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2004. License revenues grew 5% to $91.3 million for the 2005 fourth quarter compared with $87.2 million for the same quarter a year ago.
