Jahia Announces New Collaborative & Social Modules with Jahia 6.5 Beta 3
Collaborative and social features to define the future of Content Management

Jahia, vendor of the next generation Open Source CMS, released beta 3 of its Jahia 6.5. Collaborative and social features, together with incorporated feedback from the community and partners, are defining the future of CMS.

This latest beta release comes with exciting collaborative and social modules, further expanding the original vision announced with the December Beta:

* Collaborative modules: blog, wiki and forum

* Social modules: myConnections interaction from Jahia's interface; a myPortal personal portal for users to customize their Jahia environment with content from multiple sources; and a rating module which can be added to ANY content.

Feedback from Beta Program Partners

Previous releases of the Jahia beta have received high praises from Jahia partners, enrolled in the Beta Partner Program. Jahia partners participate in training, and expanding the beta by creating additional functional modules.

Oshyn's Glenn Korban (US): "As a matter of full disclosure, my personal bias in choosing my Top 5 exciting features in Jahia 6.5, is geared toward those features I think can best help our development team deliver high value features for our clients and deliver solutions as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible."

Avantia's Brian Jimerson (US): "This is a stellar version! Jahia 6.5 is a very impressive product," says Brian. "Please let your guys know that I'm really impressed with the job that they've done."

NSI's Cedric Fourneau (Belgium): "The new Jahia 6.5 user interface is very impressive and raises productivity with its full 'drag&drop' content management. The Studio interface allows 'project analysts' to realize ultra-fast web site prototyping, and 'web masters' are able to modify content structure without technical knowledge."

Smile's Philippe Brière (France): "Smile is a reknown expert of portals and proposes innovative and customized solutions to its customers, thanks to long-term partnerships with major Open Source vendors. Jahia 6.5 illustrates Jahia's deep understanding of the needs of customers and shows it by its interface, its functional depth and the technical quality of its infrastructure. The open source frameworks and components selected as foundations of Jahia 6.5's new architecture bring tremendous perspectives."

Jahia's next-generation, open source CMS stems from a widely acknowledged vision of enterprise application convergence - web, search, document, social and portal - unified by the simplicity of web content management. Structured around Jahia Extended Content Management (xCM), the Jahia Studio IDE, Jahiapps social and collaboration capabilities, and based on a powerful Composite Content Management platform, Jahia brings a unique modularity to the Java development arena. It is the tool of choice for building innovative user experiences for virtually any type of web application at a fraction of the cost of competing solutions. Founded in 2002 in Switzerland, Jahia has its North American headquarters in Washington DC, and offices in Canada and throughout Europe.
