Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

The Sacks Group Took Top Honors At St. Maarten Charter Yacht Exhibition
Motoryachts HARMONY and TOUCH took top honors in the Moet & Chandon concours des chefs competition

YV&C International Yacht Vacations & Charters Magazine reports:

In the Moet & Chandon Concours des Chefs Competition at the St. Maarten Charter Yacht Exhibition held December 5 – 8, 2005 motoryachts HARMONY, 115’ Crescent and TOUCH, 120’ Custom both with The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, took top honors, first and second respectively.

Captain Jack McKay looked like a “Proud Papa” as he greeted HARMONY’s Chef Cameron Feldman of Australia with a bear hug as it was announced that HARMONY was awarded First Place in the Division I (125’ and below) culinary event. “I am ecstatic – he deserves it”, stated Captain Jack, “Last year he came in Third Place in this competition and he just keeps getting better!”

HARMONY’s crew defines Webster’s definition of their yacht’s name: “A pleasant arrangement of parts”. The two are the most successful combination in recent memory. A testament to that is that this popular yacht gets booked a year in advance, due in no small part, to Chef Cameron’s imaginative and tasteful talents in his galley and a very innovative Chief Stew, Justine Chilcott. Lead by Captain Jack McKay with a total crew of six they keep HARMONY’s heart and soul humming like a finely tuned musical instrument.

Just as Captain and crew were enjoying the afterglow of winning the #1 spot in the culinary department, it was also announced HARMONY won “Best in Show”. “I can’t think of a more deserving crew and yacht combination”, said Jennifer Saia, President of The Sacks Group. “They really do cross oceans in harmony, literally and figuratively”.

Toni Butler, a petite ball of fire and energy, who hails from Toronto Canada and knows how to hold her own, took Second Place honors for the yacht TOUCH in the Division I culinary event. Only entering in her second year of chartering, TOUCH seems to have leap frogged the time frame allotted newer fleet additions. “It confirms that with the right crew and the yacht’s exquisite attention to detail as is evident to anyone that boards her, TOUCH has become one of the most sought-after charter vessels” stated Patty Wilson, Charter Manager of The Sacks Group. “They are now fully booked for the Caribbean season with only a few openings next Summer in the Mediterranean”.

The Sacks Group also recognizes and congratulates the 172’ MIE Shipyard BIG EAGLE, and 94’ Hargrave GOLDEN BOY Motoryachts for participating in this fun culinary event.

In addition to their Annual Yacht Hop, The Sacks Group hosted a full-on fashion and jewelry show delighting the crowds with a “Treasures of the Caribbean Islands” theme. All seven of The Sacks Group yachts participated in the Yacht Hop ranging from the 80’ LADY SHARON GALE to the 172’ BIG EAGLE and some took it a step further. HARMONY’s crew celebrated Trinidad’s Carnivale complete with colorful dancers. TOUCH’s African drummers had the docks pounding and JANIE mesmerized the crowd with exotic dancers and steel drums while MARYANN served eggnog and cookies. It was night to remember.

More information on HARMONY can be found on her website at www.mvharmony.com, and for TOUCH, www.mytouch.com.
