Open Source CMS Offers Right Solution for Anysize Goverment CM
Jahia Content Management Deployed by Governments Around the World

Jahia, a provider of web content integration software combining web, document, and portal features, recently announced new government deployments in the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the Australian Development Gateway. Adoptions by these and other agencies confirm that Jahia content management solutions are secure, easy to deploy, and competitively priced for government projects of all sizes.

"The ideal buyer of Jahia v6.0 is a midsize to large company (revenues of $500+ million), government agency, or academic institution. To refine this statement a bit, the ideal customer will also have a complex, Java-based technical instrastructure," stated Tony White from Ars Logica in his Compass Guide to WCM. He continued, "Companies who have a preference for open source, but who also require a well-rounded enterprise-scale platform, would do well to short list Jahia. [...] Worthy of special of mention is the fact that government agencies and academic institutions looking for code-sharing opportunities will benefit heavily from the Jahia development community."

"Government projects like these are extremely diverse, so our content management solutions must have built-in flexibility, scalability and a wide variety of modules to meet this spectrum of need," said Emmanuel Garcin, Jahia's VP and General Manager for North America. "The Wyoming Department of Transportation, the Danish Minister of Commerce Registration and large-, supranational parliaments and agencies display the bandwidth of our expertise, from turnkey solutions to multilingual web factories with several dozen of sites in more than twenty languages."

Other Jahia government deployments around the world include the Swedish Transport Agency, The Spanish Ministerio de Administraciones Publicas, the City of Ostrava, several Swiss cities, over a dozen of French regional Administrations, the Canton of Geneva, the German Federal Ministry of Transport. Other large organizations deploying Jahia are some of the largest governments in Europe as well as Supranational Agencies. A complete list of reference is available here : http://www.jahia.com/jahia/Jahia/cache/bypass/Home/customers/customers_d...

Jahia software integrates all types and sources of content across intranets, extranets and the Internet, within one simple user interface, at a lower total cost of ownership than other proprietary or open source systems. Content can include business, collaborative and social application portlets, widgets, gadgets, pictures, Microsoft Office files, and RSS feeds. Founded in 2002 in Switzerland, Jahia North America is headquartered in Washington DC with offices in Montreal, Canada and throughout Europe. Jahia is a global company with more than 300 customers in more than 15 countries across the globe. More information is available at www.jahia.com.
