BEA Embeds Kapow Technology Into SOA Web Services
To Deliver Kapow QuickClip Web BEA WebLogic Portal

Kapow Technologies today announced an extended partnership agreement with BEA Systems, in which BEA will continue to market the Kapow Web Integration platform’s Clipping Module with BEA WebLogic Edition, and will also deliver the Kapow QuickClip web clipping solution with BEA WebLogic Portal.

Under the extended agreement, BEA will offer a clipping portlet that is designed for line-of-business users who can now quickly clip and deploy existing web applications within WebLogic Portal, without any additional programming requirements or need for specialized IT staff.

Kapow Technologies and BEA are long-standing partners, having delivered more than 20 enterprise portal and web clipping deployments together at Global 1000 companies. “This new agreement is a natural extension of our collaboration with Kapow Technologies, as we have proven to customers in a variety of industries that our combined solutions offer compelling value,” said Kent Dickson, vice president, WebLogic Portal, BEA Systems, Inc.

“We look forward to our continued work with BEA, as there is now a growing need for joint solutions from our companies that fulfil front-end integration requirements that include portals and various forms of enterprise clipping,” said Glenn Hasen (pictured), CEO of Kapow Technologies.

Enterprise clipping is part of a new generation of integration functionality that can help enable both flexible and resilient clipping. Kapow Technologies offers BEA Systems Quick Clip clients component, full-site or navigational clipping via an easy upgrade from the Quick Clip product to the new Kapow Web Integration platform version 6.0. This new platform offers comprehensive enterprise-class clipping that enables rapid portlet generation. It is scheduled to be available in the 4th quarter of 2005.
