Queen of Bingo Coronation Weekend at Jackpotjoy

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 09/10/10 -- Jackpotjoy have followed the launch of the biggest campaign in the company's eight year history with a weekend of online bingo promotions that will see thousands being distributed amongst Jackpotjoy's members.

The Coronation Weekend celebrates the crowning of Barbara Windsor as the site's Queen of Bingo. Barbara Windsor, a British comic legend for more than 40 years, recently left a lead role in the BBC's prime time show Eastenders to become the new face of Jackpotjoy.

The site have taken the coronation theme onboard across the site, and are now offering a weekend of exciting promotions, chat parties, guaranteed jackpots and linked jackpots which offer their members the chance of taking home the big money wins that Jackpotjoy member's flock to find.

Since the real identity of the Queen was such a jealously guarded secret, right up until the week of launch, they've continued the surprise element by offering a range of guaranteed jackpots that they're terming Surprise and Delight. The jackpots can pop-up anywhere onsite, at any time, and the hosts have been told to issue fifteen minute warnings so that members can get their tickets.

"The surprise element is such a core part of our philosophy," Adele Lawton, head of Jackpotjoy.com explains. "The thing with surprises is that they create a great atmosphere. Everyone's waiting for something to come, and the chat rooms will be buzzing with excitement."

Another coronation theme they've picked up on is the ability for a national event to bring everyone together. For this they're running a series of Linked Games across the site. Linked Games bring all their rooms together for one big Jackpot, and they often result in big game jackpots. The site is guaranteeing link games this Saturday and Sunday from midday with GBP 500 prize funds between midday and 5.00pm, and a massive GBP 1,000 prize fund for every game between 6.00pm and midnight.

"Links are great to bring people together," Adele goes on. "Everyone's suddenly in the same pot, with the same chances. Whether they're a big spender in our Diamond Room or a fun player in the Cloud Room, every ticket has an equal chance and they're endlessly popular!"

Bingo isn't complete without a good chat party though and Jackpotjoy know this better than most - they've got a history of running exciting chat parties and they're increasingly famous for them.

"The chat parties and promotions were one area that I really wanted to get right," Adele enthuses. "We take our community very seriously here, we know that people play bingo to win money, but also to make friends, and so we've pumped GBP 5,000 into our chat parties and promotions for the weekend. That money's being given away in a range of fun ways that are sure to bring everyone together."

"The weekend itself is the product of months of planning, and we're very excited - and very proud - to be opening the palace doors to so many new members. This weekend, there will be only one place to play in the UK!"

The Coronation Weekend runs on the 10th - 12th of September at Jackpotjoy.com and it's designed to celebrate the coronation of the Queen of Bingo.

About GAMESYS

The Gamesys Group was founded by Noel Hayden in April 2001 with a small team of developers. The aim was to build a profitable online entertainment business providing Instant Win, Bingo and Casino games to a worldwide audience using proprietary gaming software.

After eight years, the Group's leading brand, Jackpotjoy.com, has built an audience of over 3,000,000 members and pays out in excess of GBP 90 million every month. The success of Jackpotjoy.com has established the Gamesys Group as one of the UK's leading online gaming businesses. In 2006 they were named No. 1 in the Microsoft/Sunday Times Tech Track 100 League Table, and they're now one of only four companies to have appeared on the list four years in a row. This feat reflects both the company's capacity for sustained growth and its remarkable resilience during periods of financial instability.
