Equinix, Inc., a provider of global data center services, announced that Zetta, a provider of on-demand enterprise storage solutions, is using Equinix’s Silicon Valley International Business Exchange (IBX) data center to ensure secure, uninterrupted service to its customers. Zetta chose Equinix to support the successful launch of its on-demand enterprise storage solutions in 2009 based on Equinix’s ability to deliver reliable service, network-neutral connectivity and the opportunity for cost-effective expansion.

As an early-stage company in the storage services industry, reliability and network connectivity were crucial elements in Zetta’s decision to choose a data center provider. The company needed a data center partner that could deliver these critical features, as well as state-of-the-art facilities, high availability, robust security and network neutrality. The need to support these areas, coupled with aggressive SLA requirements, led Zetta to select Equinix.

Zetta has already doubled the number of racks in the Silicon Valley IBX since the launch in 2009 and expanded its primary storage facilities to the East Coast with Equinix in 2010. Equinix simplifies the process of deploying into new data centers across the country.
