HP has tapped Ron Coughlin to run its LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions unit, reporting to printer chief Vyomesh Joshi. He succeeds David Murphy who is leaving “to pursue other professional interests.” HP reckons it’s handing Coughlin, a Pepsi veteran who been running HP’s printer marketing and strategy the last couple of years, a $100 billion opportunity. The printer goldmine hasn’t been producing as much ore as it used to.
