Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

OpSource Cloud Computing Partners
OpSource offers incentives, discounts and easy technology on-ramps for individuals and companies looking to enter the cloud

Cloud Computing on Ulitzer

OpSource announced three innovative OpSource Cloud partner programs that offer incentives, discounts and easy technology on-ramps for individuals and companies of all sizes looking to enter the lucrative cloud computing space. Available for online purchase by the hour from www.opsourcecloud.net, OpSource Cloud is the first cloud to bring together the flexibility, availability and community of the public cloud with the security, performance and control the enterprise requires. To take advantage of OpSource Cloud's power and help hasten mass adoption of cloud computing, OpSource is offering a referral plan, SI/Developer/VAR discount program and a white label technology opportunity. These plans enable third parties to share cloud revenues and quickly build businesses in this white hot space.

The unique referral partner plan is open to any individual, OpSource Cloud customer or not, who helps sign up new customers. All an individual or company has to do is encourage their customers, partners -- or even their friends and family -- to create an OpSource Cloud account. They then earn 10 percent of their referral's first six month net fees while the referral gets to enjoy 25 percent off their first month using OpSource Cloud. This creates a lucrative revenue stream for individuals interested in promoting cloud computing.

"OpSource has created some truly innovative partner programs that are helping businesses make the most of all the cloud economy has to offer," said Steve Wagner, CEO, Servoterra. "We are already using OpSource Cloud and now through the referral program we can easily bring the same powerful, cost-effective capabilities to our customers. It's a win for us and for our growing customer base."

OpSource has also created a plan to incent system integrators, developers and value-added resellers to use OpSource Cloud as a platform to deliver their products and services. To participate, these firms declare their eligibility, sign-up online and are automatically accepted into the SI/Developer/VAR program. They then open an OpSource Cloud account and receive an incremental ten percent discount on all OpSource Cloud services they consume in delivering their product or service. The program is easy to join and the discount applies to all OpSource Cloud plans, resulting in discounts of as much as thirty percent.

The OpSource Cloud White Label Program speeds up time to market for companies wishing to offer their own infrastructure as a service solution. Rather than investing in Cloud development they can benefit from the years of development and millions of dollars OpSource has invested in developing its enterprise class Cloud while they focus their resources on marketing and selling their white labeled Cloud solution. The white labeled OpSource Cloud runs on OpSource infrastructure and includes: re-branded OpSource Cloud software; support of the application, including regular code releases; and OpSource Billing CLM(TM) integration. This program includes a significant discount off OpSource's pay-as-you-go pricing based on volume as well as optional community support and website integration.

"Cloud computing has the potential to change forever the way technology is consumed, by individual developers to the largest IT organizations. It is a veritable gold rush," said Richard Dym, CMO, OpSource. "With our partner programs, we are helping cloud proponents build successful cloud businesses faster than they imagined possible, while saving money to boot. We've eliminated the need for them to invest in cloud development and also created potential referral revenue streams for them. Technology today is all about the cloud, and OpSource is committed to building a powerful, inclusive cloud ecosystem."
