For many of us, the idea of Flash as a viable development platform for RIAs has been a reality for some time. Macromedia has proved again that they listen to the community Built around the strengths of the Flash Player, Macromedia has built a universe of development tools, server-side technologies, solutions and partnerships that affect directly the way we do business.

Macromedia had an earnings call last month, but longer-term guidance was limited to products *other* than Studio 8. If Studio 8 sales in this final quarter (and some in next) are strong expect a very positive reaction.

So if I live in Hong Kong, I will be able to get a physical copy of this? I know we live in a digital age, but it is kinda nice too when there is a Special Edition like this, to hold in in one's hands. Almost like a "Collector's Edition" for Macromedia fans, before these amazing products move on to their new life as part of the even more amazing Adobe toolset.
