Analyzing Macromedia Studio 8: SYS-CON Media Presents "The 8 Issue" of MXDJ
Special August Issue of MXDJ, World's Leading Magazine for Macromedia Web Designers, Developers, Video Pros, and Graphic Artists

'The biggest software release in the history of Macromedia,' - namely Studio 8, launched yesterday Live on SYS-CON.TV - is the topic of a very special August issue of MX Developer's Journal, SYS-CON's world-beating magazine for Macromedia web designers, developers, video professionals, and graphic artists.

The issue contains a fantastic line-up of articles by MXDJ's editorial team and exclusive Q&A sessions with all four of the key members of the Macromedia team behind the product.

The articles cover every aspect of the new release, including:

Special Studio 8 Issue Editorial - by Jeremy Geelan
Cover Feature: Studio 8 - An Overview - by Charles Brown
Studio 8 - Flash: The Evolution of Flash - by Arthur Phillips
Studio 8 - Flash 8 Professional - by Tom Green
Studio 8 - Dreamweaver 8 - by Elaine Harrell
Studio 8 - Fireworks 8 - by Joyce Evans
Studio 8 - Contribute 3 - by Charles Brown
Studio 8 - FlashPaper 2 - by Jeremy Geelan
Studio 8 From the Inside - Q&A with Mike Downey, Jim Guerard, Maureen Keating, & Jennifer Taylor
"Studio Hall of Fame" - by MXDJ News Desk
Director - My Magic 8-Ball Says - by Andrew Phelps

In a unique collaboration with Macromedia, the Special Studio 8 Issue is being made available in French, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, in addition to the regular worldwide English language edition.

Copies will be widely available at MAX 2005, which is being held October 16-19, 2005, in the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA.

I think so!

All MXDJ print subscribers will receive this collectors issue of MX Developer's Journal (August 2005). All digital edition subscribers will receive the Flash Paper version of this issue.

Also two different Chinese language versions, Korean and French language version of this issue will be made available on our Web site in Flash Paper version for access.

Will the special issue on studio 8 be send to all MX Developer subscribers?

How does Studio 8 fit into Macromedia's enterprise play?

For many of us, the idea of Flash as a viable development platform for RIAs has been a reality for some time. Macromedia has proved again that they listen to the community Built around the strengths of the Flash Player, Macromedia has built a universe of development tools, server-side technologies, solutions and partnerships that affect directly the way we do business.

Macromedia had an earnings call last month, but longer-term guidance was limited to products *other* than Studio 8. If Studio 8 sales in this final quarter (and some in next) are strong expect a very positive reaction.

So if I live in Hong Kong, I will be able to get a physical copy of this? I know we live in a digital age, but it is kinda nice too when there is a Special Edition like this, to hold in in one's hands. Almost like a "Collector's Edition" for Macromedia fans, before these amazing products move on to their new life as part of the even more amazing Adobe toolset.
