Objectivity, Inc. announced today that Brian Clark, vice president of product management, has been named a panelist at SYS-CON's International Cloud Computing Conference & Expo, to be held in Santa Clara, California from November 2-4, 2009.

The panel, "Where's the Cloud Headed Next?" will take place on November 2 from 5:05-5:40 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center and will be moderated by Conference Chair Jeremy Geelan. This panel will bring the world's most knowledgeable technical officers together to discuss the progression of cloud computing in the immediate and extended future. Other panelists include:

Jonathan Bryce - CTO & Founder of the Rackspace Cloud
Peter Nickolov - President & CTO of 3Tera
Irfan Khan - CTO of Sybase
David Cohen - Cloud Infrastructure Group Chief Architect for EMC Corporation.
Ken Gardner - Executive Chairman of SOASTA Inc.
Rick German - Co-Founder & CEO of Stoneware.

Clark has gained extensive knowledge about database management in distributed computing environments working with Objectivity/DB, a preferred choice for cloud users with projects in need of scalability and flexibility.

"Objectivity/DB's uniquely distributed architecture, with its unique Single Logical View of distributed databases, is a direct complement to the emerging cloud paradigm," Clark said, "Software developers in cloud and grid settings are increasingly exploiting the ease of scale and distribution capabilities, which Objectivity/DB is able to provide to customers and evaluators in a cost efficient manner."

Clark has more than 30 years of software industry experience including 20 years working with Objectivity/DB. Prior to joining Objectivity in 1989, he worked at Automation Technology Products. Previously he was with Project Management Services at International Computers Limited, one of Europe's leading computer companies at the time.

Objectivity, Inc. will also be participating in the conference as a Silver Sponsor. Those attending the event can visit booth 112 in the Grand Ballroom at the Convention Center to speak with Clark or get more information about Objectivity/DB.
