NEW YORK (September 22, 2009) – Telx, one of the largest domestic interconnection and colocation data center operators, announced today that Cima Telecom Group, the parent company for Auris technology, Cima Telecom and Anew Broadband®, a leading provider of alternative telecommunications products and services, has chosen to consolidate its data centers in Telx’s Miami facility at 36 Northeast 2nd Street. Cima Telecom offers voice-over IP (VoIP) and WiFi/WiMAX services and pre-paid calling card services to wholesale carriers and enterprises via cross-connections within 36 Northeast 2nd Street and an optical Ethernet ring provided within the same Telx facility. “Consolidating our Miami data center presence into Telx’s facility made the best sense for our enterprise, both from operational and budgetary standpoints,” said Humberto Rico, Vice President of Voice Services for Cima Telecom. “Colocating within Telx’s facility at 36 Northeast 2nd Street allows us to leverage their densely connected facility as well as connectivity to all of the providers within NAP of the Americas Miami via a low latency metro Ethernet ring. We also benefit from being part of Telx’s national ecosystem of carriers and service providers. Telx’s facility at 36 Northeast 2nd Street offers strong connectivity to the Latin American business community, with access to a significant number of international and domestic carriers and all major cable landing stations. Low latency connectivity is also available to NAP of the Americas through a metro Ethernet ring. As a category 5-rated hurricane building, the 36 Northeast 2nd Street structure is outside both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 100-year designated flood zone and the Miami-Dade hurricane evacuation zone. “Cima is a strong player in the international VoIP market and we’re pleased to have them represented within our facility,” said William Kolman, Executive Vice President of Sales for Telx. “The choice to consolidate within our Miami facility allows a wider variety of interconnection options to networks colocated both in NAP of the Americas Miami as well as in our own facility, while giving Cima industry-leading implementation and support services that were critical to maintaining their business.” # # # About Telx Contact: Karyn Price Bailiwick Company for Telx +1 609 397 4880 ext. 204 Twitter: @Telx_Group
