Industry News Jigsaw Releases Its APIs
Developers can deliver company profiles and detailed, up-to-date contact data

Jigsaw, the data-as-a-service (DaaS) pioneer with the user-generated global business directory that means to have D&B watching its back, has released a suite of APIs and a toolkit so developers can deliver company profiles and detailed, up-to-date contact data from inside their web, desktop or mobile applications. It's also got a new developer program so companies integrating Jigsaw with their own stuff can give free Jigsaw data to customers, let their The company says integrating applications with Jigsaw is a snap. It can usually be done in less than a day. The APIs are RESTful and calls to the Jigsaw database can respond in XML or JSON. They don't need SOAP or WSDL. So far 18 companies such as SugarCRM have joined the Jigsaw Developer Program. Jigsaw claims 16 million business contacts and profiles of three million companies kicked in by 900,000 contributors.
