Kickfire has opened its high-performance mass-market analytics appliance to cloud-based trials by prospects who want to try before buying.
The trial will let users run their own queries on a large database of U.S. flight data from the last 20 years. It can be accessed at http://ondemand.kickfire.com.
Kickfire's Linux-based plug-and-play appliance, which starts at $32,000, plays in the gigabytes to single-digit terabytes market and uses MySQL Enterprise for business intelligence, reporting and analysis.
