Its vDesk virtual desktop widget interoperates with the Sun Ray Virtual Desktop Infrastructure

RingCube Technologies, a venture-backed start-up with a reported 24 patents pending, has worked with Sun so its vDesk virtual desktop widget It's supposed to lower the cost of deploying personalized desktops while adding offline access and synchronization between the virtual desktop and portable storage devices and physical PCs or notebooks. vDesk is described as a high-performance enterprise desktop virtualization solution that delivers anytime, anywhere access to a personalized desktop environment complete with applications, data and settings. Its Virtual Workspace technology separates the user's desktop environment (applications, data and settings) from the operating system and encapsulates it into a secure container. It can be stored in the data center and accessed remotely using VDI; stored and run locally on the user's PC; stored on portable drives such as USB; and stored on a network file share and run locally.
