Today, I'm proud to report that Sybase iAnywhere has been recognized, as a leader in Mobile Device Management Enterprise Software for the eight consecutive year!

Sean Ryan, research analyst, mobile enterprise, IDC said "More and more organizations require a robust device management and security platform to support a wide range of mobile devices such as iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Mobile,” He followed “Despite the current tough economic climate, the adoption rate of mobile technology continues to grow. Looking ahead, organizations will be required to streamline operations and control costs but also ensure the mobile workforce has the right support, access, security and compliance controlled through a single environment that can manage multiple platforms, different devices and varied applications.”

The report found that the worldwide MDM enterprise market grew by 7% from 2007 to 2008, reaching $260.8 million in revenue. IDC predicts that the market will grow by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.2% over the next five years to reach $405.3 million by 2013. Sybase iAnywhere's Afaria Solution in Mobile Device Management (MDM) now has a 19.2% Market Share.
